The Chancery Clerk occupies perhaps the most unique and diverse office in all of Mississippi Government. 

The clerk serves as the clerk to the Board of Supervisors, Treasurer and County Auditor. The Chancery Clerk also serves as the Public Recorder, meaning this position is responsible for recording Land Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Oil and Gas Leases, Cancellations, Assignments, Easements/Right of Ways/Covenants, Power of Attorneys Military Discharges, Wills, Probate/Estate, Lis Pendens, Construction Liens, Tax Liens, etc.
